If you intentionally or unintentionally reformatted or deleted some important files from your computer and the option to restore under recycle bin is not available, you can give this application a try.
NTFS Undelete is a nifty application for you to retrieve and recover data /files even after emptying recycle bin. When you delete a file, it is not actually deleted from the hard disk but Windows merely marked the sector as being free for another data to override the sector. Hence, NTFS undelete is an application that reads such area and you might be able to retrieve the deleted file /data.
This can only be done when you do not save any other file /data onto the hard disk as saving a file on the hard disk, Windows will allocate such space for this new file and hence, retrieving the file no longer valid.
So, let’s say you accidentally deleted a file and wanted to retrieve it again, try not to save any new files or else the space will be permanently overridden.
Do install this application and keep it handy just in case you accidentally deleted an important file. Another situation is when you scan disk your hard drive due to some errors. Scanning and fixing your hard drive may sometimes delete a folder or a file as scan disk repairs the error sectors hence also deleting the error sector and marking it a free sector.

Eusing Free Registry Cleaner is FREE Registry cleaner; that’s it! Sometimes, after a few installation and uninstallation of various programs, you will find Windows registry actually grew bigger. The problem with some software programs is they will leave residues in your Windows registry as they do not uninstall together with the program when you uninstall them. Hence, you will find that your Windows registry gets bigger in size.
Eusing is a free program to clear some of these files. Files that do not link to any software program currently sitting in your Windows. I have run test using Eusing on my desktop running on Windows XP Pro SP2. This program uses a simple user interface. If you are just a novice, just install it and run it. The GUI does not seem much or interesting but with just a click on the left side menu, it will start scanning your registry. Scanning will take about few minutes depending on the complications of your existing registry file. Once scanned, you can go through those registry keys that are to linked to any or your programs and you get to choose and select them before you clean them.
For 1st timer, it is best to backup your registry before you clean them as Windows registry is the heart of windows. Any corrupt to the registry will deem Windows to fail. But do not worry, you can backup your registry from Eusing file menu and also set an option to create a restore point before you clears the registry.
Here are some images of Eusing in Action:-
Overall Eusing does it work pretty good. Tested on XP Pro SP2. Eusing is Free to use but everytime you execute it, there is a nagging box asking you to register and contribute. Registration is USD 15.00, once registered, an email will be sent to you with the appropriate code. However, if you just wanted to use it for free, just ignore the nagging box by clicking the ’skip’ button. You can still use it for FREE with full function.

Another alternative to defrag your files. This program is come with a very simple interface. Something like what you would have in MS Windows Defrag utility. However, Auslogics disk defrag have a graphical image showing the defragment which I feels that is it better than what MS Windows. At least you have a visual look of the hard disk being defrag.
Nothing much on the settings except that you can set this utility to delete all temporary files before starting defragmentation. The program do run fast and the interface is just 2 clicks away to start defragment. The one little problem which I do not like is that upon completion, it always shows a report with junk files scan recommendation. Upon clicking the link, it will bring you to their website and they will try to get you to purchase their junk file scanner online.
Other then that, if you need a defragment software, you can download this little software and it will do the defargmentation without much problem. Under normal MS Windows Defragment utility, it will have problem when you try to defrag the hard disk that have less that 15% disk space. jalf way through the defragmentation process, it will stop. Using this Auslogics Disk Defrag, I have tested on the same hard disk (less than 15% disk space), I have no problem defragging the hard disk but not without a message popping up on screen to notify you of the low hard disk space.

Defraggler is a nifty software for defragging your harddisk. It is a Freeware utility and tested to be very fast little gadget. The software itself is very small in size hence it does not take up much space. The one feature that is very useful is that it can defrag a single specified file. No only that, you are able to also specified individual folder to defrag. Because of this feature, you can defrag any folder or file without going through the whole disk. Operation of the defragment is also very fast with graphic image showing the partition being defrag.
Consist of only 3 files with overall file size below 2MB. It is very compact. Support Windows Vista.

CCleaner is a very useful cleaning software that cleans your temp files, recycle bins, Internet temporary files and etc. I personally have tested the usage of this software and I certainly found that it is one of the best cleaning software for windows platform. It runs on MS Windows XP and Vista ready machines. At the time of writing, I am using CCleaner V2.11.636. The wonderful thing is this software is FREE; at no cost.
So, why do you need a cleaning software. MS Windows does ship with a simple cleaning utility ‘Disk Cleaner’. However, comparing with CCleaner; CCleaner do run faster and user friendly.
Following images was taken from my Vista machine:-

Some of the features we are looking at are:-
- Cleans Internet Explorer components such as cache files, URL history, cookies, hidden index.dat files, etc
- Cleans recycle bins
